'Der Ganz Normale Wahnsinn' (The Completely Normal Madness) Is a film about the accountant Jakub Svoboda, who gets bogged down in bureaucracy. The film is one of my most important projects from my studies at the university. I wrote the screenplay, directed the film, and produced it. I also handled the post-production, including editing, motion design, graphic design, and soundtrack. The film is set in the 1930s, so all the props and clothing had to be authentic.

Plot Summary: The accountant Jakub Svoboda is assigned a very urgent task by his boss, which he must complete by noon. The task is voluminous, and it’s possible he won’t finish it in time. Additionally, everyone seems to be conspiring against him: his lazy colleague Lukas Cerny, who is supposed to support Svoboda; the seductive Teresa Benes, who distracts him; and the office boy, who just messes around. Are his colleagues on his side, or are they secretly sabotaging Svoboda’s efforts to cope with the task? If only he could find the time to get started! Svoboda’s otherwise normal workday slowly turns into a never-ending nightmare.
